The following information is provided to update VPV Homeowners on the status of the Exterior Renovation Project actions to date, current status, and the plan ahead.  We have scheduled a special meeting to share this information and to move the project forward.  The meeting’s agenda is as follows:

6:15 p.m.      Doors Open for Self-Guided Viewing of the Work Products to date as provided by the Consultants.  Planned displays include:

·         A photo presentation of actual problem areas, providing examples of the required repairs as identified in the Destructive Testing Report, as well as those identified through Phil Greer’s maintenance activities

·         The five preliminary design schemes, developed by Fremer Architects

·         Three preliminary models, constructed by Fremer Architects

 

7:00 p.m.      Opening Statements and Broad Project Overview of Status to Date

Presented by – Mike Talbot, Vice-President, Board of Directors and Finance Committee Liaison to the Board

 

8:05 p.m.      Reserves Impact – Status of deficiencies and current Board actions to improve the preparations for the HOA

Presented by – Mark Bayma, Treasurer, Board of Directors

The Board and the ERC want to ensure we are addressing your questions.  Unfortunately, we will not have time at this meeting to allow for a question and answer period.  We encourage you to submit your specific questions, in writing, to Joanne Pena at Horizon Management.  All questions will then be responded to, and distributed to the entire community in a special mailing with other information communicated during this meeting.  Please submit your questions prior to September 12th so they may be included in this information package.  We will also post this information on the VPV website:  villagepalosverdes.org 

 


If you have a schedule conflict and are unable to join us on the evening of September 6, we have made arrangements for the work products to be on display at the Horizon Management offices during the week of August 27 through the 31st.  Contact Joanne Pena at (310) 543-1995, to schedule an appointment to review the material during normal business hours that week.

 

It is the responsibility of the HOA Board of Directors to provide the following services for our community and our assets:

 

Both the Board and the ERC have volunteered countless hours to move this project forward in the most responsible manner for the benefit of the entire community.  We want to communicate the information to you, and ask that you participate in this opportunity to get informed and to help support this vital process.  We need to move forward, mitigating continuing deterioration and to protect our property values.  We look forward to the opportunity to address your submitted questions and to share them with the community, and we welcome your support for this special meeting on the 6th.
