The Board has appointed Carma Hardin, Chair of the ERC, to fill the Board seat vacated by Mike Martinet.  When the Board meets March 1, they will elect officers.  The ERC will now be chaired by Dean Reuter.

 

                     CC& R’s                 

 

 Section 4 of the CC&Rs states:

Owner Structural Changes:  No owner shall make or cause to be made structural alterations or modifications to the interior of his Unit or installations located therein without the PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE “Architectural Committee” provided for in this Declaration.

 

Section 5 Association Maintenance, Improvement and Decoration Authority: The Board, OR ITS DULY APPOINTED AGENT, including the Manager, if any, shall have the EXCLUSIVE right to paint, decorate, repair, maintain and alter or modify the exterior walls, balconies, railings, exterior door surfaces, roof, and all installations and improvements in the Common Area and the Recreation place improvements of any type (including landscaping)…  NO OWNER of a Condominium shall be permitted to do, or have done, any such work.  The prior written approval of the Board shall be required for the installation of any awnings, sunshades, or screen doors erection or placement of any such improvements.

 

Section 6 Storage.  There shall be no storage of any items in or upon a Unit except in an enclosed area not visible from adjoining streets.

 

 

 

 

This is Phil Greer.   He MUST review any installation BEFORE it goes on your roof.  If you improperly install a satellite dish and/or a heater/air conditioner unit because you did not get Phil’s or the Board’s approval, you will be billed for any expenses incurred to correct the mistake. 

                          Dear Gardeners:

South Bay Senior Services:  For Seniors 60 years or older, or disabled residents in the South Bay.  Services are professional, confidential, and free.  SBSS assists in finding help with light housekeeping, shopping and meal preparation, provides follow-up and maintains current lists of screened, qualified workers for hire.

                Guest Parking

 

Not OWNER parking!!!   Please park in your garage or on the street, and keep the Guest Parking Spaces available for GUESTS.   

 

 

                Flowers

 

The Board has requested proposals for seasonal flower changes, and for upgrades to the planters on Calle Miramar and Calle Miramar.  These proposals will be reviewed at the March meeting.  

 

                       

 

              

 

 VPV Life in “Hollywood” Riviera      

        

Starting with the next issue, I would like to include a photo and write a few lines about a homeowner(s) in our complex.  Ideally I would like to stop by and take a photo of your family.  I think this would be a great way for all of us to get to know our neighbors.  If you want to volunteer for this feature, call Donna Beck.

 Owners of units with ground-level patios are responsible for keeping patio drains clean and clear of debris.

 

Owners leasing their units must give Horizon Management the tenant’s name, address, and phone number within 30 days of move-in.
